摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sublimation dyeing method for a plastic lens, by which a lens can be uniformly dyed at a high density and no irregularity and excellent reproducibility is achieved.SOLUTION: A sublimation dyeing method for a plastic lens includes a sequence of the following steps 1 to 4. The step 1 is a heating step of heating a plastic lens to 50 to 100°C. The step 2 is a dyeing step (A) of disposing the plastic lens heated in the heating step and a substrate coated with a sublimation dye in a substantially vacuum atmosphere, with a target surface for dyeing of the plastic lens and the coated surface of the substrate opposing to each other in a noncontact state, and heating the substrate to sublimate the sublimation dye to dye one target surface for dyeing of the plastic lens. The step 3 is a reversing step of reversing the plastic lens obtained in the dyeing step (A). The step 4 is a dyeing step (B) of disposing the plastic lens reversed in the reversing step and the substrate coated with the sublimation dye in a substantially vacuum atmosphere, with the other target surface for dyeing of the plastic lens and the coated surface of the substrate opposing to each other in a noncontact state, and then heating the substrate to sublimate the sublimation dye to dye the other target surface for dyeing of the plastic lens.
