<p>PURPOSE:To prevent a component of an oxygen scavenger from oozing owing to the migration of water from food, etc., having a high water content during storage over a long period of time by adding oil to metal powder, a metal halide and a slightly water-soluble substance, mixing them and regulating the water content of the mixture to a specified value. CONSTITUTION:Oil such as silicon oil is added to metal powder such as iron powder, a metal halide such as NaCl powder and a slightly water-soluble substance such as zeolite powder, they are mixed and the water content of the mixture is regulated to <=1wt.% to obtain an oxygen scavenger. Any component of this oxygen scavenger does not ooze into packing owing to the migration of water from food, etc., having a high water content during storage over a long period of time, the flowability of the contents does not change and conversion into paste is not caused.</p> |
