Sheets are made from artificial leather waste, initially manufactured by the agglutination of fibrous substances by means of a thermoplastic synthetic resin agglomerant, by passing the waste several times through grinding rolls which are heated to a temperature of from 50 DEG to 80 DEG C., whereupon the material is sheeted in a calender. The resins specified are vinylic, acrylic or cumarone resins. Additional products such as plasticising agents thermoplastic resins and fillers such as kaolin, mineral, vegetable or animal fibres may be added during treatment on the grinding rolls, which are preferably constituted by two hollow cylinders rotating at different speeds with the ratio of the angular velocities between 1/5 and 1/2 .ALSO:Sheets are made from artificial leather waste initially manufactured by the agglutination of fibrous substances by means of a polyvinyl or other thermoplastic synthetic resin as agglomerant by passing the waste several times through grinding rolls which are heated to a temperature of from 50 to 80 DEG C. whereafter the material is drawn in a calender. Fibrous filling material such as animal, mineral or vegetable fibres and a filler such as kaolin may be added and to increase the elasticity of the final product a vinylic resin which has been previously plasticised by means of triphenyl phosphate or similar substance may also be added.
|
