PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a molding machine capable of suitably determining timing of local application of pressure.SOLUTION: A die casting machine 1 includes: an injecting device 3 which injects molten metal into a cavity 105; a pressurizing pin 23 which moves into the cavity 105 to locally pressurize a molding material inside the cavity 105; a pressurizing cylinder 25 which drives the pressurizing pin 23; a gas pressure sensor 7 which detects gas pressure Pg inside the cavity 105; and a control device 9 which determines movement start timing (t5) of the pressurizing pin 23 into the cavity 105 by using, as reference, a time point (t3) at which the gas pressure detected by the gas pressure sensor 7 during injection fulfills a prescribed condition and which controls the pressurizing cylinder 25. |
