The present invention relates to a process for modifying a polydopamine polymer or a derivative thereof, consisting in grafting at least one organic polymer to said polymer by radical chemical grafting in the presence of at least one cleavable aryl salt. The present invention also relates to the polydopamine polymer or the derivative thereof thus modified.
