PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To propose a control method for a printer that is free from loss of a processing instruction input from a print control section side to a communication control section caused by processing operation on the basis of a processing instruction input from an external apparatus to the communication control section.SOLUTION: A print control section 10 of a printer 2 transmits a first processing instruction to a communication control section 11 and subsequently holds request state information until first processing operation is completed in the communication control section 11. When a second processing instruction is input from an external apparatus to the communication control section 11, the communication control section 11 checks whether or not the request state information is held by the print control section 10 and suspends execution of second processing operation when the request state information is held thereby. As a result of this, the second processing operation is not performed when the first processing operation is not completed in the communication control section 11. Accordingly, the first processing operation on the basis of the first processing instruction is completed in the communication control section 11. Therefore, the first processing instruction is not lost. |
