PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a wheel device capable of having stable lock performance by a relatively simple lock mechanism.SOLUTION: A wheel device includes operation bodies 3 which can perform a locking operation in which the operation bodies 3 move in a direction crossing the axial direction of the wheel 1 and then abut on the operated surfaces 2a so as to displace the brake pieces 2 to the positions where the brake pieces are pressed against the side faces of the wheel 1 and an unlocking operation in which the operation bodies abut on or leave the operated surfaces 2a so as to displace the brake pieces 2 to the position where the brake pieces are not in contact with the side faces of the wheel 1. The operation body 3 is supported rotatably on a rotary shaft 1a of the wheel 1, and abuts on and leave the operated surfaces 2a as the operation body 3 rotates on the rotary shaft. Two drive pieces 2 are arranged opposite each other on both the side faces of the wheel 1, the operated surfaces 2a of the respective brake pieces 2 are inclined opposite to the axial direction of the wheel 1, and the operation body 3 has two contact parts 3a capable of abutting on and leaving the operated surfaces 2a of the respective brake piece 2. |
