PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a display chamber for use at ordinary temperature from being overcooled without using an electrical heater, or the like, to thereby eliminate noise, in an open showcase having upper and lower display chambers defined by heat insulation walls having an opening in the front, and usable at both ordinary temperature and cooling temperature.SOLUTION: An open showcase includes: an upper back side duct 7A; a ceiling duct 46; a cold air outlet 14 formed in the upper edge of the front opening of an upper display chamber 11A; a lower air ventilation opening 42 formed in the lower part of the back side of the upper display chamber; and first and second fans 44 and 45. The open showcase carries out: a first operation in which the air in the upper back side duct is discharged from the cold air outlet via the ceiling duct by each of the fans, and the discharged air is sucked from the lower ventilation opening; and a second operation in which the air is sucked from the cold air outlet, and the sucked air is discharged from the lower ventilation opening via the ceiling duct and the upper back side duct. The fans are arranged such that they do not overlap one another. |
