Disclosed are an apparatus and a method for recognizing a voice. The apparatus may recognize a user property and a voice recognition environment. In addition, the apparatus may determine voice recognition speed for recognizing a voice based on at least one among the user property and the voice recognition environment. Depending on the determined voice recognition speed, the apparatus may recognize a voice. According to the present invention, the apparatus comprises: a user property recognition unit; a voice recognition environment recognition unit; a voice recognition speed determination unit; and a voice recognition unit. |
