The method involves forming particles with a mean particle size in the range of about 10-100 mm. The filter aid material (3) is transferred into a thermal treatment device (15). The filter aid material is moved in a fluid bed and is heated to the temperature ranging from 400-1500[deg] C, so that the adhering of the particles remaining paint is thermally decomposed and removed from the particles. The filter aid material is formed from stone meal, aluminum silicate, aluminum oxide, silicon oxide and acrylic resin. |
