The present invention provides an air conditioner having satisfactory heat exchange efficiency. This air conditioner is configured so that interior air is conducted horizontally in the front-rear direction to a front face heat exchanger from a vertical gap which is formed between the upper opening wall and lower opening wall of a front face suction opening (3) in a front face panel (9) which constitutes a cabinet (1), and also so that the interior air is conducted to the front face heat exchanger from an opening which has a width in the front-rear direction and which is formed between the upper opening wall and the lower opening wall which is located behind the upper opening wall. As a result of this configuration, the opening is visible in a front view because the upper opening wall and lower opening wall of the front face suction opening (3) do not overlap each other in the front view. The configuration enables air to directly flow even to the lower part of the front face heat exchanger from the front face suction opening (3), and heat exchange efficiency is increased. |
