PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To securely feed a sheet placed on a push-up plate by bringing the sheet into contact with a sheet feeding roller appropriately when the sheet is fed by the sheet feeding roller by pushing up the push-up plate.SOLUTION: When a sheet S placed on a push-up plate 211 is fed by a sheet feeding roller by pushing up the push-up plate, a sheet tip detection device 43 for detecting a tip of the sheet placed on the push-up plate is provided and a folding part 211c inclined downward to a part at the downstream side in the sheet feeding direction of the push-up plate is provided. A folding position 211b of the folding part is positioned on the upstream side in the sheet feeding direction from a detection position for detecting the tip of the sheet by the sheet tip detection device and the folding part of the push-up plate is brought into contact with the sheet feeding roller in a state of pushing up the push-up plate to feed the sheet. |
