摘要 PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing a composite material capable of more suppressing the deterioration of a negative electrode due to charge-discharge cycle, in the case when the composite material is used as a negative electrode material of a lithium ion secondary battery.SOLUTION: The method for producing a composite material having graphite particles and silicon particles bonded to the surface of the graphite particles includes (a) a step for partially oxidizing the graphite particles, (b) a step for surface-modifying the silicon particles having a primary particle diameter smaller than that of the graphite particles, and (c) a step for bonding the partially oxidized graphite particles and the surface-modified silicon particles.
