A filtration installation (I) comprises a structure (1) delimited by a lateral wall (4b) and in which a liquid such as water to be filtered can flow. A filtration system (10) such as a filter drum, screen or travelling band is disposed in the structure that is able to turn about an axis. The filtration system includes at least one peripheral edge (22) adjacent the lateral wall of the structure, and the peripheral edge and the lateral wall define between them a lateral gap (E) the dimensions of which are liable to vary over time in the event of unwanted relative lateral movement between said peripheral edge and the lateral wall. A rigid sealing device (30) positioned between the peripheral edge (22) and the lateral wall (4b) extends around a part of the periphery of said peripheral edge and is adjustable laterally as a function of the relative movements between said peripheral edge and the lateral wall. The filtration installation provides for a seal with a possible slide of several centimetres. |
