PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a mechanical pencil including a retention chuck which facilitates to assemble the inside of the cap and which is hard to go off the cap, reducing failure due to partial breakage of the feed-out mechanism.SOLUTION: The retention chuck 2 is engaged with the inside of the cap 1 on the leading end side of the mechanical pencil. The retention chuck 2 consists of two components of the engaging part to engage with the cap 1 and the retention part to retain the lead. These two components are characterized in that they are formed by elastic rubber materials of different hardness. Additionally, the engaging part and the retention part are preferably in different colors. |
