The present invention relates to a novel material which is harmless to human bodies and has excellent biocompatibility, and a composition comprising the same as an effective component. More particularly, the novel material has an excellent effect to regenerate skin by enhancing elasticity and activity of fibroblasts in the skin and promoting the regeneration of dead skin cells. Also, the novel material is structurally stable, and can be stored at room temperature. Disclosed is a skin composition comprising a complex of keratin and epigallocatechin-3-gallate (EGCG) as an effective component.
