FIELD: radio engineering and communications.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to radio engineering and can be used in short-range radar systems for measuring relative velocity of an object. Said result is achieved due to that, method of measuring relative velocity of an object from a point of space, remote from course of object, includes measuring radial velocity of object Vrand distance of remote point to object, after a period of time t of more than two seconds, performing second measurement of radial velocity of object Vrand distance from remote point to object b, further, determining distance c covered by object on course for time between first and second measurements, using formula: c=t·(Vr+Vr)/2, determining semiperimeter p of triangle abc, that is equal to 0.5(a+b+c), then by formula: determining tgA/2=r/(p-a), where r=√(p-a)·(p-b)·(p-c)/p, determining value of blunt angle A of triangle abc, that is equal to 2arctg[r/(p-a)]}, then relative speed of object is calculated by formula: V=Vr/cos(π-A) = Vr/cos{π-2arctg[r/(p-a)]}.EFFECT: measurement of relative velocity of an object at angle of vision to heading greater than zero.1 cl, 1 dwg |
