FIELD: coating.SUBSTANCE: invention relates to production of decorative coating on articles from wood. Wood surface is pre-coated with first inner ply of epoxy resin and second inner ply of epoxy resin and glass powder in ratio of 1:1. External layer of glass powder is sputtered by plasmatron at power of 7.5 kW and plasma-forming gas flow rate of 1.0 m/min.EFFECT: increased strength of adhesion of coating with substrate at reduction of stresses in coating and substrate, higher wear resistance of decorative coating, increased microhardness and wider range of colours of coating, as well as elimination of energy-intensive and cumbersome process operation.1 cl, 3 tbl, 2 ex
