The invention provides a hydraulic pressure generating apparatus (1;1A) including: a base body (10); a master cylinder (20); and a stroke sensor (19), wherein a rear surface (10c) of the base body (10) faces a brake operator pedal (P), a bottomed-cylindrical-shaped first cylinder bore (21) accommodating a first piston (23) of the master cylinder (20) is opened to the rear surface (10c) of the base body (10), and an input member (P1) connected to the brake operator pedal (P) is inserted in the first cylinder bore (21). The stroke sensor (19), a plurality of solenoid valves (13a,15a-c) and a control unit (50) are attached to one surface (10h) of the base body (10), such that the stroke sensor (19) and the solenoid valves (13,15a-c) are accommodated within a housing (51) of the control unit (50). On the one surface (10h), the stroke sensor (19) is disposed adjacent to the rear surface (10c) of the base body (10), and the solenoid valves (13,15a-c) are disposed adjacent to a front surface (10b) of the base body (10). |
