PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To optionally set a heating efficiency of a metal pipe to a region in a circumferential direction and a region in an axial direction.SOLUTION: There is provided a fixing device which comprises: a pipe-shaped metal pipe 33 composed of an endless fixing member having flexibility in an apparatus and a metal body arranged in close to the inner rubbing surface of the fixing member; a nip forming member 34 held by the metal pipe 33 which contacts the fixing member directly or through a slide sheet; a pressure body which heats metal in a stay-like form for receiving the nip forming member 34 and the fixing member through the metal pipe 33 by a heat source and faces the nip forming member through the fixing member; and a flange which is disposed inside the metal pipe and has a role to keep a cross-sectional shape of the metal pipe and holds a pressure stay for receiving the pressurizing force from the pressure body through the nip forming member 34. The heat absorption rate of a heating pipe 33 is different in a region in a circumferential direction and a region in an axial direction. |
