PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To consume required minimum amount of web, while preventing pass-through, even when a distance between recording media is temporarily increased due to paper-passing mode or irregular operation, such as an interrupt for image quality adjustment.SOLUTION: A cleaning web unit accumulates a distance x(t) between passing recording media in printing operation for one page or a plurality of successive pages, adds an arbitrarily set constant distance x' to x(t) after the last one page of the recording medium passes, and takes up a web by an arbitrarily set constant distance L to start accumulation from x(t)=0 again when x(t) is equal to an arbitrarily set constant distance X. |
