PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a printing medium conveying device capable of forming sufficient slack in sheets having different lengths when printing media are conveyed.SOLUTION: A printing medium conveying device includes: a conveying path 301 serving as a path through which a printing medium is conveyed; a contact part 401 configured to come in contact with a front part of the printing medium in a conveying direction of the printing medium to stop conveyance of the printing medium; a holding part 402 configured to hold the front part of the printing medium that has contacted with the contact part; a first conveying part 303 configured to convey the printing medium so as to abut against the contact part and forming slack in the printing medium between the first conveying part and the holding part that holds the printing medium; and an attaching detaching part to/from which a second conveying part 304 can be attached/detached, the second conveying part provided nearer to the holding part than the first conveying part in the conveying direction, conveying the printing medium so as to abut against the contact part, and forming the slack in the printing medium between the second conveying part and the holding part that holds the printing medium. |
