The invention relates to an apparatus (10) for handling value documents, comprising at least one cash box (14a) and at least one singulation and/or stacking module (16a) for removing and/or feeding value documents from/to the cash box (14a). The singulation and/or stacking module (16a) includes a conveyance path, along which the value documents can be conveyed. At least one section of the conveyance path is delimited by a swiveling arrangement (28) which is disposed in such a way in a first position that value documents can be conveyed along the conveyance path while being disposed in such a way in a second position that the conveyance path can be manually accessed. The singulation and/or stacking module (16a) further includes a locking mechanism (36) for locking the swiveling arrangement (28). Said locking mechanism (36) has a locking element (38) that is fixedly connected to swiveling arrangement (28). In a first position of the locking element (38), a first end region (40) of the locking element (38) engages with a first engagement zone (44) of a stationary first chassis part (34) while a second end region (42) of the locking element (38) engages with a second engagement zone (46) of a stationary second chassis part (32) such that the swiveling arrangement (38) is maintained in the first position using said engagements. In a second position, the locking element (38) is disposed such that the end regions (40, 42) and the engagement zones (44, 46) do not engage with each other, thus allowing the swiveling arrangement (28) to be moved into the second position. The first end region (40) includes an actuation element (52) which allows the locking element (36) to be moved from the first position into the second position. |
