[Class 89 (i)] Anchor nuts stamped from sheet metal have the metal thickened at 14 where the threaded neck N adjoins the base B. The base is formed at 20 to provide a countersink leading to the threads. Beyond the threaded part the neck is expanded to form a well to receive a fibre locking insert that seats on a shoulder 16 and is prevented from rotating by projections 17 and by closing in the top part of the well. A short axial portion 19 separates the bottom of the well from a bevel 18 leading to the threaded part and prevents the fibre insert from crushing the top thread.
