The invention relates to a navigation method which comprises the following steps: receiving computerised data relating to a route (101); obtaining computerised data relating to the manoeuvres to be performed along the route (102); obtaining computerised data relating to the corresponding directions (103); obtaining computerised data relating to the position of the guided object; correlating the data relating to the position of the guided object (400) with the data relating to the route; processing the computerised route data according to a plurality of guide modes, i.e. a navigation mode (200), a mapping mode (300) and a direction mode (400); guiding, while referring to one of the preprocessed modes, and placing the other preprocessed guide modes on stand-by; and allowing the substantially instant activation of the modes placed on stand-by. The invention also relates to a corresponding navigation device. |
