PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electrically driven brake device which can surely prevent freezing in a simple structure without releasing braking force during braking.SOLUTION: The electrically driven brake device has an electric motor 2, a braking force load mechanism 4, a lock mechanism 5, a temperature sensor 6, and a freezing preventive means 7. The freezing preventive means 7 starts a freezing preventive operation when the temperature sensor 6 detects a set temperature just before freezing of the electrically driven brake device in the case when the braking force load mechanism 4 loads braking force and the lock mechanism 5 is in a lock state. When a temperature in the housing of the electrically driven brake device is different from an outdoor air temperature in detecting the outdoor air temperature by the temperature sensor 6, a set temperature just before freezing of the electrically driven brake device is a value to be corrected by a difference between the outdoor air temperature detected by the temperature sensor 6 and the temperature in the housing. |
