PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus in which time taken for voltage adjustment of an electrification device for electrifying a surface of a photoreceptor is reduced.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus 100 includes: first photoreceptors 12y, 12m and 12c and a second photoreceptor 12k; a first electrification device 13 for electrifying surfaces of the first photoreceptors; a second electrification device 51 for electrifying a surface of the second photoreceptor; and a shielding member 80 capable of moving from the second electrification device to a closed position for shielding the surface of the second photoreceptor, and to an open position for releasing the shielding of the surface of the second photoreceptor. In a first mode in which the shielding member is located at the closed position when voltage adjustments of the first electrification device and the second electrification device are tried to be performed, voltage adjustment of the first electrification device is performed in parallel with the movement to the open position of the shielding member, and thereafter voltage adjustment of the second electrification device is performed; and in a second mode in which the shielding member is at the open position when voltage adjustments of the first electrification device and the second electrification device are tried to be performed, voltage adjustment of the first electrification device is performed in parallel with the voltage adjustment of the second electrification device. |
