The present invention relates to a linear amplifier using nonlinear amplification stages, which comprises: a first amplifier and a second amplifier connected in cascade; and a bias voltage generator for applying a first bias voltage to a gate terminal of the first amplifier and applying a second bias voltage higher than the first bias voltage to a gate terminal of the second amplifier. The first amplifier and the second amplifier have nonlinear gain characteristics in an arbitrary output power interval. As output power increases, the gain of the first amplifier increases and the gain of the second amplifier decreases. The linear amplifier using nonlinear amplification stages according to the present invention can secure the linearity of the amplifier and increase power conversion efficiency by enabling amplification stages formed in cascade to have nonlinear characteristics and enabling final output power to have linear characteristics. |
