According to an embodiment of the present invention, a liquid crystal display device comprises: a first insulation substrate; a thin film transistor located on the first insulation substrate; a light blocking member located on the thin film transistor; and a spacing material located on the light blocking member. The spacing material comprises: a main column spacer and a sub column spacer. The sub column spacer is located to correspond to the main column spacer, and is formed to be horizontal to a gate line of the thin film transistor. Therefore, the liquid crystal display device can simplify manufacturing processes.
