The present invention relates to a robot cleaner and a method to control the same. The robot cleaner comprises: a body provided to be movable; a sensor unit provided on a lower surface of the body to measure a moving distance; an acceleration sensor provided on the body to measure an inclination angle of the body; and a control unit to correct the moving distance measured in the sensor unit by calculating the inclination angle of the body measured in the acceleration sensor. According to the present invention, the robot cleaner is able to compensate the moving distance for an error caused by the floor inclination. |
