PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To determine vehicle collision possibility from information on each rail track and each branch point, and position information of vehicles, and warn operators in charge of operation of vehicle collision possibility based on the obtained information.SOLUTION: A vehicle collision warning system 1, in which operators MA, MB in charge of operation are warned of possibility that two vehicles 3 traveling on rail tracks R constructed in a plant collide with each other, includes rail track information calculation means 8 which determines a "branch information" indicating other rail tracks R connecting branch points on each rail track and "vehicle passing information" indicating a first rail track R on that a vehicle 3 exists and other rail tracks R at that the vehicle 3 may arrive after passing branch points on the first rail track, with regard to the vehicle 3 traveling on the first rail track, collision determination means 9 which determines the possibility that two vehicles 3 collide with each other, based on the "branch information" and the "vehicle passing information" calculated by the rail track information calculation means 8, and notification means 10 which notifies the operators MA, MB in charge of operation of the vehicle collision possibility calculated by the collision determination means as a warning. |
