PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for removing both of radioactive iodine and radioactive cesium that solves a problem of prior art, is simple and low-cost and, further, does not require an energy source such as electric power, and can reduce the volume of radioactive waste as required.SOLUTION: A removal method of radioactive iodine and radioactive cesium that removes both of radioactive iodine and radioactive cesium in radioactive liquid waste and/or radioactive solid materials by the use of a hydrophilic resin composition containing a hydrophilic resin and clay minerals. The hydrophilic resin composition contains at least one kind of hydrophilic resin selected from a group composed of hydrophilic polyurethane resin, hydrophilic polyurea resin, and hydrophilic polyurethane-polyurea resin that have hydrophilic segments and have tertiary amino groups in main chains and/or side chains in structures, and contains clay minerals dispersed in a proportion of 1 to 180 pts.mass to 100 pts.mass of the hydrophilic resin. |
