A method and graphics processing unit for rendering views of a scene at least one of the views being a sub rendering which is used in rendering another of the views of the scene, the method comprising rendering s414 tiles of the views in an interspersed order such that at least one tile from each view is rendered before any of the views are fully rendered. The sub rendering may be a shadow map, an environment map or a texture for rendering another view of the scene. The interspersed order may be based on a transformation indicating tiles which are likely to be similar in the different views of the scene and may ensure that similar tiles are rendered sequentially. If a particular rendered tile is similar to the next tile to be rendered then data stored in a cache for rendering the particular tile is likely to be useful for rendering the next tile. |
