PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To make it possible to achieve both the restriction of element size increase and spectrum flatness improvement and to enable the monitoring of the output of light, in terms of a wavelength multiplexer/demultiplexer and an optical integrated circuit device.SOLUTION: An add drop type ring resonator asymmetrical in optical coupling efficiency between the add side and drop side is coupled to the arm waveguide (relatively short in optical length) of a first delay Mach-Zehnder interferometer in which optical couplers are formed on the input terminal side and output terminal side such that two arm waveguides of different optical lengths are located opposite each other. A second delay Mach-Zehnder interferometer of 1/2 of optical length difference of the first delay Mach-Zehnder interferometer and a third delay Mach-Zehnder interferometer are cascade coupled via the one of the optical couplers. |
