PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To improve dust collection efficiency by making an applied voltage higher while suppressing occurrence of a spark discharge.SOLUTION: A wet electrostatic precipitator includes a DC high-voltage generation part 3 which generates a DC high voltage, a DC high-voltage input part 2 which has a capacitor 41 smoothing the DC high voltage V generated by the DC high-voltage generation part 3, a discharge electrode which is applied with the DC high voltage output from the DC high-voltage input part 2, and a dust collection electrode which collects fine particles by a negative corona discharge generated with the discharge electrode based upon the DC high voltage. The capacity of the capacitor 41 is set based upon the voltage ripple rate between the discharge electrode and dust collection electrode. |
