PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To evaluate a product or a substance existing on a surface of an object to be evaluated, for a plurality of parts of the object, without collecting a sample from the object.SOLUTION: An evaluation apparatus 1 for evaluating a product or a substance existing on a surface of a steel plate S includes: a detection unit 4 which irradiates the surface of the steel plate S with light to capture an image of the surface of the steel plate S; and an image processing apparatus 5 which estimates the area of the product or the substance in the image captured by the detection unit 4 or a ratio of the area in the whole of the image. With this arrangement as above, for a plurality of parts of the object, a product or a substance existing on a surface of the object can be evaluated without collecting a sample from the object. |
