[Class 12 (i)] [See also Group IX] In ring - spindle apparatus for spinning and like frames of the kind in which the support or mounting is adapted to roll in accordance with the precessional movement of the spindle upon a surface adjacent to the wharl or other driving-means, the surface 3x upon which the mounting 3 rolls is situated at or below the level of the lower end of the spindle, control means, such as a split ring or hoop 7 as described in Specification 342,628, is mounted above the surface, and an inner bearing-tube 5 is fitted in the mounting 3 and provided with lubricating apertures 5x, 5y and a positioning projection 6. An extension 3y of the mount may engage a recess in the bolster fitting with clearance for the rolling movement. This extension is not necessary and, in any case, is of small dimensions. |
