PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To suppress thermal damage inside a lens barrel caused by the condensation of sunlight, without increasing the size of an imaging apparatus and drastically reducing the usability of the imaging apparatus.SOLUTION: In an imaging lens barrel 11, an optical lens part L1 arranged on a side nearest to an object has a positive refractive index. When it is discriminated that the position of optical zoom is within a predetermined range from a signal outputted from an optical zoom position detection part 232, state determination processing is executed from the output of an angular velocity sensor 207 and the output of a lens drive detection part 231. A CPU 219 determines whether or not a digital camera is "in a static state" from the result of determining whether or not a predetermined time T1 elapses from when both of a main body 12 and the imaging lens barrel 11 are in an immobile state by a state determination part 224. When the digital camera is in the static state, the optical zoom position of the imaging lens barrel 11 is shifted to a wide angle side by a predetermined amount. |
