The window frame (1) has a sheet of glass casement (2) including a glass sheet (5) only at end faces and inner sides, where glass sheet is provided on an outer side of a facing layer (3) of the casement. An end face of the glass sheet includes a hollow chamber (6) that is filled with a thermally insulating material. A cavity (7) is provided in the inside of the glass sheet, where the cavity is provided with a reinforcing component (8) such as steel, and the window frame is made of fiber-reinforced plastic such as PVC.
