PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a designing method for a progressive refractive power lens capable of making the feeling of wear satisfactory by bringing the magnification ratio of a distant area and a close area close to 1.SOLUTION: A progressive refractive power lens 1 has a distant area 11 and a close area 12, and an internal face 1i serving as a refracting face on the eye ball side and an external face 1o serving as a refractive face on the object side. If the external face incidence degree of the external face 1o is α, the internal face incidence degree of the internal face 1i is β, and a prescription incidence degree based on a prescription for a wearer is ADD when the progressive refractive power lens 1 with progressive areas 13 formed on the internal and external faces 1i and 1o is designed, the relations expressed by α<0 and β>ADD are satisfied.
