Furthermore, the invention relates to a component (1) for a domestic appliance (2), wherein a symbol (4) is applied to a surface (3) of the component (1) with the aid of a method of this type. Furthermore, the invention relates to a domestic appliance (2), wherein a symbol (4) is applied to a surface (3) of at least one component (1) of the domestic appliance (2) with the aid of a method of this type.
