PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a rotary electric machine capable of reducing temperature rise of coil ends of a rotor winding by forming cooling gas passages in the coil ends of the rotor winding.SOLUTION: In a rotary electric machine in which a rotor is constructed by a rotor core constructed on a rotor shaft and a rotor coil which is mounted on the rotor core and around which coil ends are wound by being protruded from the end of the rotor core, the coil end of the rotor coil is constructed by laminating a plurality of coil conductors, a plurality of cooling gas passages are formed in each of a plurality of coil conductors, and the cooling gas passages are arrayed stepwise so as to constitute a meander cooling gas passage. |
