PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for producing activated carbon slurry, capable of easily making activated carbon into slurry and obtaining uniform slurry.SOLUTION: A method for producing activated carbon slurry by an activated carbon slurry production device, including an activated carbon slurry formation part 10, a bottomless cylindrical body 20 disposed inside the activated carbon slurry formation part and an agitation blade disposed inside the bottomless cylindrical body, includes a step of forming a swirling flow inside the bottomless cylindrical body by the agitation blade; feeding activated carbon into the swirling flow before the time point when air convoluted in the swirling flow surfaces to a water surface from the vicinity of the distal end of the swirling flow, or through a bottom part communication hole 22; and circulating the activated carbon slurry through an upper communication hole 21 and the bottom part communication hole. The relation of a distance &Dgr;h from the upper end of the upper communication hole to the water surface in the activated carbon slurry formation part and a diameter d of the bottomless cylindrical body is 0.14≤&Dgr;h/d<0.7. |
