The purpose of the present invention is to provide a battery cell having a top cap in which an electrolyte injection hole is formed and having an excellent composability by accurately coupling an upper surface shape of a top cap with a bottom shape of an insulation mounting member. The battery cell has an electrode assembly which is embedded in a prismatic can. A top cap is mounted on the open upper end of the prismatic can, and an electrolyte injection hole to inject an electrolyte is formed on the top cap. A sealing member is press fitted in the electrolyte injection hole. A first diameter portion, a second diameter portion, and a third diameter portion are successively formed from the lower side to the upper side of the electrolyte injection hole in a structure that the average inner diameters thereof successively increase. The sealing member is press fitted from the first diameter portion to the second diameter portion. A sealing material is coated on the upper surface of the press fitted sealing member and the third diameter portion to form a sealing portion.
