A CAP ASSEMBLY OF NOVEL STRUCTURE AND CYLINDRICAL BATTERY COMPRISING THE SAME

The purpose of the present invention is to provide cylindrical cap assembly capable of preventing the damage and errors of a battery generated in a welding process by skipping a curling process of a safety belt and a laser welding process. The cap assembly mounted in an open upper end unit of a can in a battery of a structure in which electrode assembly of a positive pole/a separation film/a negative pole is embedded in the cylindrical can. The cap assembly comprises: (a) a safety belt to discharge a gas by being broken in the high pressure when the high pressure is generated in a battery; (b) a top cap mounted on the safety belt, in which a penetration hole to discharge the gas, to form a protrusion terminal; and (c) a sealing member to seal the outer circumference of the devices. The sealing member is combined with the safety belt and the top cap with a vertically folded shape corresponding to the safety belt and the outer circumference surface of the top cap.
