PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a sewage purification device and a sewage purification method that activate the living and activity of microorganisms and propagate the microorganisms, and improve the purification efficiency of sewage by smooth contact of the sewage.SOLUTION: A septic tank 2 having a sewage inflow part 4 and a purified water outflow part 5 is disposed with an air diffusing pipe 6 that blows outside air into an inside lower part. A crushed concrete layer 7 is formed on a bottom of the septic tank 2 to embed the air diffusing pipe 6 therein. A purification panel body 8 is arranged above the crushed concrete layer 7. The purification panel body 8 comprises microorganism purification panels 9 in which microorganism carriers are filled, and microorganism propagation panels 10 in which microorganism propagation beds formed by mixing vermiculite and peat moss are filled. The microorganism purification panels 9 and the microorganism propagation panels 10 are alternately arranged at predetermined intervals in the horizontal direction. |
