PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a medium processing device capable of contributing to improvement of reliability of conveying a medium and securing a stop position in a suction conveying process of a medium inserted from an insertion port.SOLUTION: A passbook slip printer 100, when a slip B1 inserted from a slip insertion port 110 is detected by a slip insertion port sensor 140, performs initial suction conveying of the slip B1 to move it to a first specified position Pvs1 downstream from a detection position Ps1 of a slip drawing detection sensor 150 along an upstream side conveying path 120u of a slip conveying path 120. When drawing conveying abnormality in which the drawing detection sensor detects no medium occurs in a state that the initial suction conveying has been executed, the passbook slip printer performs discharge conveying to the slip B1 to move it toward the insertion port side along the conveying path until medium detection by the insertion port sensor fails, and discharges the slip B1 from an inside of the device, and waits for re-insertion. |
