PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a continuous footing which can be installed at a position close to a retaining wall while reducing ground contact pressure.SOLUTION: A continuous footing 1 has a footing part 2 and a rising part 3 vertically rising from a top face 21 of the footing part 2. Side faces 22, 23 of the footing part 2 are surfaces which come closer to a vertical line S passing an approximate center of a thickness H in the horizontal direction of the rising part 3 as they go downward. Thus, a lower part of the footing part 2 is tapered, and if the width of the footing 2 is the same, a contact area with earth can be increased in comparison with a tabular footing part and ground contact pressure can be reduced. Even if embedment of the continuous footing 1 is arranged below a repose angle line L1, an upper part of the footing part 2 can be made to protrude from the repose angle line L1 toward the side of a retaining wall 200. Accordingly, an interval W between the rising part 3 of the continuous footing 1 and the retaining wall 200 is reduced and the continuous footing 1 can be installed at a position close to the retaining wall 200. |
