PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To inexpensively provide a light-emitting unit, by a simple structure, which allows emission of light diffused in surroundings of the light-emitting unit simultaneously with light projected in one direction by one lighting fixture while using a light source mainly having directivity in one direction, and provides a freedom in a layout of the lighting fixture according to usage while taking a distribution of the light into consideration, in order to solve a problem that it has been necessary hitherto to always prepare two kinds of lighting fixtures of a light collecting type and a light diffusing type, desirably, for coping with a disaster.SOLUTION: The nearest side of the light source is covered with a light source cover which becomes thinner as extending in the main oriented direction of the light source, or extending substantially in parallel with the main oriented direction. Light collecting means with a size substantially covering an opening of the light source cover at the side of the main oriented direction of the light source is arranged adjacent to the opening. The allocation of light projected to one direction through the light collecting means and light diffused to a circumferential wide range of the light emitting unit through the light source cover is adjustable by varying the size of a diameter of the light collecting means viewed from the light source, the wideness/narrowness of the directivity angle peculiar to the light source, or the length of the light source cover from the light source toward the light collecting means. |
