The imaging system in the embodiment is configured such that a device that takes images and an external device can communicate with each other via a communication means. Said imaging system is provided with the following: an operation means via which a setting operation regarding imaging is performed; an imaging device, i.e. the aforementioned device that takes images, that takes images and generates image data at regular intervals on the basis of the setting operation performed via the operation means; and a display means for performing display on the basis of said image data.
